This is a space for travelers who are done with the same old tours that recycle the usual tourist spots and facts. Here, we shine a light on the untold stories of Mexico: the feminists, queer activists, and allies who fought for visibility, equity, and community. Our tours are more than just sightseeing, they’re about creating safe spaces, building connections, and making friendships that last long after your visit.

Posted on Jenny5 May 2026Verified We commend this totally unique tour of Mexico City! Tania was incredibly accommodating and very knowledgeable.Posted on Jenna5 May 2026Verified Tania was very knowledgeable and showed a side of the city you won't see in everyday tours - the feminist and queer history and present of Mexico City, which is so important. She was considerate of our needs during the tour, looking for spots to stop in the shade and stopping at places with clean bathrooms along the way which is helpful. She also has recommendations of places to visit and info you should know for your overall CDMX visit. Our tour started a tad late and ended up going almost an hour over, so just be prepared to run over. It also got hot as the day wore on so definitely recommend doing this one in the morning. But was a great experience and highly recommend.Posted on Ella19 April 2026Verified Fantastic tour, great knowledge, excellent guide.Posted on Hope19 April 2026Verified Fantastic and well worth it.Posted on Molly19 March 2026Verified Tania was very knowledgeable and seamlessly weaved together feminist and queer histories and culture in her tour. My group thoroughly enjoyed! We appreciated the food recs and the awareness of need for bathroom breaks and seats as well.Posted on Liz19 March 2026Verified Tania is an incredibly knowledgeable guide who brought Mexico City's queer history to life. My friend and I had a wonderful morning exploring the city with her and learning stories we never would have discovered on our own. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to go beyond the surface and understand a richer side of Mexico's history.Posted on Craig19 February 2026Verified Tania was a wealth of information on not just LGBTQ+/feminist issues, but Mexican history in general. A very enriching and unique experience.Posted on Leigh19 February 2026Verified Had a great time on the tour, Tania was very knowledgable not just about queer history (and current scene) though shared info about general Mexico/Spanish history, art, food, how to navigate Mexico in general - Seemed to customise the info to guests interests. Thanks Tania, all the best!
MxCity for the Girls, Gays & They’s was born from my years of traveling before the days of social media, Airbnbs, and Google Maps. I relied on local recommendations, sometimes finding myself in unexpectedly wild situations, and quickly realized that the challenges I faced as a queer solo traveler could be multiplied for others. I wanted to create experiences I would have loved to find back then: safe, community-rooted spaces that feel personal, fun, and far from the typical “clock in, clock out” tour.
Every tour supports local queer spaces, artists, and businesses, ensuring your experience benefits the people who call Mexico City home.
We celebrate the real stories of feminists, activists, and queer folks (no pink-washed, cookie-cutter tours), and create safe spaces for everyone.
More than sightseeing, our tours are about meeting people, sharing stories, and building friendships that last.
At MxCity for the Girls, Gays & They’s, we believe in building connections that uplift our communities.
That’s why we partner with platforms like ExploringNotBoring, who share our commitment to authentic, ethical, and community-driven travel.
Together, we make it easier for travelers to discover experiences that truly support locals.
Our tours welcome AFAB, femme-presenting, queer travelers, solo adventurers, and allies. Allies are encouraged to be respectful and mindful. Our goal is to keep our community safe and inclusive for everyone.
Absolutely! You’ll join a female-led tour and choose between a group or private experience. You’re also welcome to reach out directly to check availability and options, we want everyone to feel safe and comfortable.
Yes! Beyond group experiences, we can arrange tours inside or outside the city, tailored to your interests, group size, and budget. You get to focus on what excites you most, the places you want to explore, the stories you want to hear, and the experiences you want to live.
Since MxCity for the Girls, Gays & They’s is a small, woman-led business, I personally manage all bookings, calendars, and tour confirmations. This keeps everything warm, human, and flexible, but it also means the easiest way to reserve your spot is to book directly with me.
For direct bookings:
Book through a platform:
I know there’s a lot of debate when it comes to third-party booking platforms, I always recommend Exploring Not Boring, since they’re also a community-led small business and align with our values. You can also find some of my tours on WithLocals and Airbnb Experiences, but please keep in mind that these platforms take large commissions and often overcharge customers, so prices there are higher.
No matter how you book, your spot is safe, but booking directly helps support queer-led, ethical tourism in Mexico City.
No worries! We know that planning a trip or trying something new can feel overwhelming. If you’re unsure about anything, just reach out, we’re happy to answer your questions before you book. Send us a quick message on WhatsApp and we’ll help you out.
